Mark Ashwell

Director – Writer – Filmmaker

I’m a member of Directors UK and the Directors Guild of Cyprus, and I’ve been fortunate to collaborate with artists and crews across contexts and scales — from music videos to longer-form film work.

I develop and direct narrative and documentary work across film and digital media. My experience spans development, assistant directing, and self-shooting production, with projects ranging from music video, studio and commercial work to feature length storytelling.

My pre-filmmaking background was in the music industry, and as a professional international touring musician. The importance of musicality, rhythm and flow informs all my work, giving a unique perspective on visual storytelling.

I’m open to conversation linked to directing, developing, or creative collaboration on filmmaking projects of all types.
